Snowdonia

Ah, Snowdonia, Wales's largest and oldest national park, boasting a wild and wonderful mountain range. The craggy mountains give way to ancient woodlands, cascading waterfalls, and icy lakes. Snowdon, the crowning glory, stands tall among numerous impressive peaks. Among them is Mynydd Bryn-llech, Slate Hill Mountain, which belongs to the upland sheep and cattle farmer, Rhodri Jones. Rhodri resides just outside Bala in Gwynedd, in the southern part of Snowdonia. With over three million sheep dotting the landscape, this vast open space may appear empty, but it's teeming with life and adventure. Rhodri, a true testament to the region's farming heritage, runs a 650-acre farm alongside his wife, Claire, who happens to be a vet. Their nearly three-year-old son, Will, shy like his dad, joins in on the family affair. The Welsh mountain lambs, or yearlings, have returned from their winter vacation on the coast, and now it's time for them to return to their hilly home. Rhodri and his family race against time to get the lambs up on the mountain before the lambing season begins. It's no easy task to guide these skittish ewes up the road, across the neighbor's land, over the river, and up to the mountain without mixing up with other sheep. But with a little gentle persuasion and the help of some older ewes, the yearlings are back where they belong, ready to roam and raise their lambs in the breathtaking landscapes of Snowdonia.
