Perched majestically on a hillside 1,000 feet above the valley, Casa del Sole is a rustic farmhouse that Richard and Sarah have converted into holiday lets. While the location offers breathtaking views, the narrow track and muddy path leading to the property have proved to be a challenge for guests. In an effort to improve accessibility, Richard and Sarah invest in an all-terrain vehicle, hoping to make their guests' journey slightly easier.

Richard and Sarah have split their farmhouse into two halves - one modernized for their family and the other in a dilapidated state. As they prepare for the arrival of new guests, they must vacate their comfortable quarters and make do with the primitive amenities of the dilapidated half. It's a stark contrast, but the couple is determined to provide a unique experience for their visitors.

Sarah, now six months pregnant, travels to the antenatal unit in Florence for a more thorough scan of their baby's heart. The initial concerns raised by her Italian gynecologist prove to be inaccurate, and Sarah and Richard are relieved to learn that their baby is fit and healthy. This news brings a wave of joy and reassurance, allowing them to focus on their business and future.

Richard and Sarah's olive groves pose a challenge when they are assessed by an agronomist for a farmer's license. The trees are deemed too tall and unmanageable, and they fall short of the required number of labor days to qualify. However, the agronomist suggests that planting more olive trees and introducing sheep to the farm could help meet the necessary criteria. Richard and Sarah diligently work towards making these improvements, hopeful for a chance at financial assistance.

Martin and Nikki, aspiring expats, join Richard and Sarah on their search for a Tuscan farmhouse. They have a budget of �130,000 and dream of finding a rural property with land and potential for income. However, their house hunt proves challenging as many of the affordable options require extensive renovation. They quickly realize that their budget may not stretch as far as they had hoped.

Richard and Sarah find themselves faced with the daunting task of managing their land and juggling their holiday business. Richard's overenthusiastic approach results in the accidental destruction of various plants, causing tension between him and Sarah. They must find a way to coordinate their efforts and work together to maximize their chances of success.
